Futsal Courts

Review rolling-ball behavior, rapid footwork, goal stability and the selected competition format.

A Court for Close Control and Quick Passes

Fast passes, quick turns and close ball control shape a futsal court. Ball roll, surface texture and clear playing lines are central to the flooring choice.

Rolling ball and quick turns

Try passes across tile joints and compare the feel under your usual footwear. Ball roll, starts and changes of direction are useful priorities for a futsal sample trial.

Goals and perimeter planning

Arrange secure goal anchoring with your equipment supplier and keep spectator routes outside the playing space. Include room for substitutions and equipment storage in the layout.

A layout for your level of play

A school practice area and a competition pitch have different planning needs. The playing format sets the starting point for dimensions, perimeter space and surface selection.

FIFA futsal pitch dimensions

Dimensions below are length × width unless stated otherwise. Playing lines and the total usable footprint are different measurements.

Non-international matches
25–42 m long; 16–25 m wide

The touchline must be longer than the end line.

International matches
38–42 m long; 20–25 m wide

The competition selects dimensions within these ranges.

Pitch markings
8 cm wide

Include additional space around the pitch for access, equipment and spectators.

The flooring plan includes the pitch plus surrounding space for goals and access. Contrasting perimeter colors separate the playing area from circulation routes.

Discuss a Flooring Sample

Futsal sample selection centers on ball roll across joints and the feel of quick turns under the intended footwear. Options are reviewed for the playing format and base.
